Why is soy the eco-friendly alternative to paraffin wax?
Soy has many advantages:

- Supports farmers, not petrochemical companies
- Paraffin, the wax with which most candles are made, is a
by-product of the petrochemical industry.
What is soy wax?

What makes Respire Collection soy candles special?
Respire Collection soy candles are the consumer’s choice for a divinely scented, eco-friendly candle.
At Respire, we take pride in being an artisan chandler: each Respire Collection candle is hand-poured in a local workshop right outside of Paris.
In addition to soy wax, our candles burn clean because we solely use 100% natural cotton wicks. Most candles on the market today are made with lead-cored wicks, which release toxic emmissions in your house when burned. Cotton wicks render our candles clean for your home and your family. Remeber, it is important to trim your wick to 1/4in. each time so you have no smoke/soot.
You will get your money's worth, too! Indeed, soy wax burns up to 50% longer than other waxes.
Respire Collection soy candles are precursors in the French market. We offer the first full-line of pure soy wax candles on the market. Consumers will see an increasing number of candles labelled as natural (cire végétale) but these are often blends of palm oil - not soy. Being a natural element, soy wax is a difficult material with which to work, especially because we do not use any additives that mass candle companies use to create a uniform appearance for their product. Each respire candle is unique. Enjoy!
