My favourite host
I’ve been using Dreamhost for a while now and they are my absolute favourite host, among the many I’ve used over the years. Their unique interface is super user-friendly and their customer support is superb. I have no shame in announcing that if you sign up through my link, Dreamhost will give me a reward for recommending them, which I wholeheartedly do. It’s also good for you because if you sign up through my link, you get a $20 discount when you sign up for a year, and $25 if you sign up for two (just quote the discount code “Alannah”).

My favourite domain registrar
When asked where I register my domains, I always recommend Namecheap. This is mostly through force of habit, as I am thoroughly familiar with their interface.$9.98 per year for a .com domain is one of the best value around, but they are very reputable and there’s no chance you’ll find your domain disappearing or passed on to another company. This is my affiliate link:

My favourite business cards
I have some really sweet stripy business cards and since people always ask me where they’re from, I thought I would put a link (affiliate) to moo.com here. Apart from the wonderful ready-made designs you can choose from (or you can upload your own), what makes their service so much fun is that you can choose as many different designs as you like in a pack. You can choose variations on a theme in different colours, or you can even upload an entire portfolio of your photos, artwork, designs, products, etc., and use them as your business cards (which is like carrying a kind of pocket portfolio around with you). Their new thing is that they offer cards with rounded corners which I think look great, and you can get stickers and postcards too.
Social Media Buttons
These will look nice on your website or blog (I use them). Don’t forget to link to the people who designed them, as a thank you!
